Larthe Smith Obituary
Mr. Smith died September 24, 2016 at Hospice of East Texas. He was born May 23, 1930 in Overton and was a lifetime resident of Smith County.
Mr. Smith attended Hopewell Elementary School and Arp High School in Arp, Texas. He served in the U. S. Army and retired as a machinist for the petroleum industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, five sisters, and one son.
Survivors include his spouse: Mozell Smith, Tyler; sons: Terry Smith and Michael (Beverly) Haynes; daughters: Clemmie (James) Cash, Boston, Mass., Reuna (Earl) Campbell, Austin, TX, Rita (Donnie) Collins, Tyler; sisters: Helen Harden, Tessie Bateman, and Rev. Mary Fullwood all of Arp, TX; thirteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6 - 7:00 P.M. and viewing will be from 11:30 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Community Funeral Home of Tyler Chapel.
