Laura Bringas Obituary
Laura was born on October 15, 1925, to Pedro Mallari and Serapia Montemayor in Lubao, Philippines. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Santo Tomas and taught elementary school at Basa Air Base in Pampanga, Philippines.
She married her late husband, Capt. Eliseo Villanueva Bringas Jr. in 1958 and together had their son, Eliseo M. Bringas III.
Laura moved to the United States in 1980. She lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Arizona before settling in Charleston, South Carolina in 1998 to be with her son and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, travelling, cooking, attending church and spending time with family and relatives. She will be remembered for her resilience, elegance, grace, and agelessness.
Laura is survived by her sister Gloria M. Vitug; her son Eliseo M. Bringas III and his wife, Cherylyn V. Bringas; her grandchildren Margot (Jeff) Koo, Lauren Kim (Vishal) Agrawal, Mark and Elijah; and great grandchildren Layla, Dev, and Karis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the International Christian Church in Goose Creek, SC.
