Laura Sabina Cason

Knoxville - Laura Sabina O'Callaghan Cason, age 75, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with Jesus on June 26, 2024, at Fort Sanders Hospital, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Laura O'Callaghan, and her son, Casey Cason. Sabina was known as "Granny" to many children. She was a Head Start teacher and a childcare leader at her church. She is survived by her brothers, Dennis O'Callaghan (and his wife, JL) and Mitchell O'Callaghan (and his partner, Jenny), and her sister, Ellen Sheldon (and her husband, Sam). She is also survived by her children: Micheall "Misty" (and her husband, Tim), Laura "Laurie" (and her husband, Tylor), Corey (and his wife, Brandy), and her nephew (bonus son), Tyge (and his wife, Shannon). Additionally, she leaves behind her niece, Mandy (and her husband, Sean), and her nephew, Ryan (and his wife, Christine). Her grandchildren include Alex (and her husband, Josh), Ethan, Abby (and her husband, Steven), Faith, Brylon, Jada, Ava, Paige, Justin, Avon, Elliot, and Chloe. Sabina also had four great-grandchildren and two great-nephews.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at Grace Church, located at 1610 Midpark Road, Knoxville, TN 37921, on July 13, 2024, at 11 a.m.

Following the service, there will be a reception and the receiving of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for Gideon Bibles in Sabina's honor.
