Laura,
We celebrated Fathers Day today. I was thinking of you, mainly because Dad is sick, and because I found a Fathers Day Card you wrote him several years ago. It was tucked away in a box of cards. What are the chances I would find it today, on Father's Day? I know you were sending a message. Losing Barb, and now Dad being sick, I really appreciate all the good things in my life. I wish you were here right now, because I really need my big sister. I Love you.

I have said before,, I did not know you long, but I knew you were special somewhat like me a little scattered with our life belongings and boyfriend who Loves to talk way more than we do. Lol You were real. I loved that about you. I still miss you. You jumped my car for me the last day I saw you. Maybe not your last Act of Kindess maybe just a continuance of all you did for so many of us who loved you.

I saw it was national best friend day today, oh how I wish you were here so I could tell you in person that you are my best friend. I miss you so much. I am going to remember all our fun times forever. My heart is heavy and sad without you but my heart is also happy and joyed to know that I can remember so many times with you. Oh Laura you have to help me here. Help me realize that you are okay, that missing you is normal and that I'll be okay. I tell myself this in my head but it just doesn't seem to work. I love you and miss you so very much each day. I hope you know that everyone has empty arms as we think of you each day, are hearts are heavy with love as we miss you here on earth, while we all know that God and your family in heaven have their arms full of love with you there. It's been a little over a week and already it feels like forever since I heard your voice, saw your beautiful smile, your eyes!! I miss you so much. YOu need to help me through this. I'm not really sure what to say. I have spent the last few days with such a heavy heart remembering all the good times that we had. Living above the King, seeing who could get the new crossword puzzle book, you trying to beat me at "13", working together at the restaurant and just hanging out together. I'm one of the luckiest people in the world to have such a great cousin. I loved when you, me, Angela & Julie got together and the laughs we would have and the "special" songs we would make up. Oh the memories we have made. Remember the boulder I ran over, you never let me forget it. You will always be in my heart. I pray for peace for your dad and Barb, your sisters, and to all us who loved you so deeply. Dear Brother John,
I know this is a dark time for you. For our whole family this is the saddest of sad occasions. I choose to remember Laura as the baby grandchild that our father loved so much and was so proud of, the niece that as a sixteen-year-old I babysat and played with, and the teenage girl that lived in my home and I loved like my own daughter. You meant so many things to me. And I'm sorry there were no good-bye's. My heart is still heavy from losing Mom and the only thing that makes it alittle better is knowing that you are now with her, and you don't need to feel bad any longer. But for my selfish reasons, I wish you were still here. There were so many things I wanted to do with you. I don't even know where to begin with this posting. There are SO many things I could say, so many things I wish I would have said, and so many things I still have to say to you Laura.
As I write this my mind goes back to so many fun times. There were SO many, too many to count and I am so happy for that. I can sincerely say that I was the luckiest girl in the world to have you as my best friend. When we lived together, what a blast huh? Then when we lived together again years later, more good times. I seriously don't know what life on earth is going to be like with out. You have always been there when I needed you, and I sure hope I was there for you. We have so many secrets, so many conversations that only you and I know and understand. I can say that I cry because you are gone, but I can smile because we "were".
I send nothing but prayers, thoughts and sympathy to all of her family and expecially to John. I am so sorry for your loss, nothing compares to losing a child. I'm so glad that you have always made me feel a part of your family.
My friend Corrine sent this Irish saying to me once and I love it.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
I know now Laura is with her grandpa who called her his little princess, she is with her grandma D, and of course she is with her mother that she lost and never has forgotten. And don't forget she is with my dad probably saying "you want a glass of water!" and with my mother who she so diligently sent a Christmas card to every year filled with confetti in which my mother opened EVERY year just to see it all fall out and laugh at Laura's pranks.
I love you Laura, I am going to be a lost soul for a while without you so please be with me.
