Laura and Roosevelt McCormick together again. Laura departed this life on October 5, 2006.
Laura was employed by Green Cross Hospital for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roosevelt McCormick.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Evelyn McCormick (Wasson) and Gwen (Gene Sr.) Hamilton; cousins, Alice Bath, Norma Davis and Bertha; grandchildren, Faye Walker, Gwennie (Kevin) Simpson, Gene Jr. (Marietta) Hamilton; special granddaughter, LeVon (Maurice) Carter; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 12, 2006 from 11 to 12 noon at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be sent to 572 Lakeview Ave., Akron, Ohio 44314.

To Gene McCormick & Family, And my dear friend Bertha Brown...With heartfelt sympathy. When our time on Earth has ended we will dwell in God's sweet presence sharing in eternity and enjoying all His blessings. There will be no need for sun like the one that shines above for god's glory will light up heaven and our portion will be His love. May you feel the sympathy that's with you in your sorrow, May you find the thoughts of friends will help you through tomorrow...May you know the memories of all you shared together will keep Laura close to you, For love lives on ...forever.
