Laura Marie (Carson) Richmond passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on November 6, 2018. She was 42 years old. She was born in Columbia, SC on October 6, 1976 to Jim and Linda Carson. She was the middle of 3 siblings. Laura attended Sullivan Central High School and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from ETSU.

Laura was a lifelong band teacher, most recently in the Bristol Tennessee City School System. She loved to play the trumpet and did so every Sunday in the church orchestra. Laura loved being with people and was always passionate about everything she did. She enjoyed playing board games with her family and friends. Laura was a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church in Bristol, VA.

She leaves behind her daughter, Kaylie Richmond; her parents, James & Linda Carson; her brother, Matt Carson, his wife Desha and their children Micah, Nathan, and Jenna; her sister Cathy Davenport, her husband Tim and their children Julie and David.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Indian Springs Baptist Church – Hill Road Campus.

Funeral services will follow at the church with Dr. Tiger Brooks and Dr. Allen Roberts officiating. Special music provided by Evan Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tennessee High School (memo: band program), 1112 Edgemont Ave., Bristol, TN 37620 or to Euclid Avenue Baptist Church (memo: Operation Christmas Child), 900 Euclid Ave., Bristol, VA 24201.
