Laura Stryker Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 24, 2024.
Laura passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024 at the age of 62. She was preceded in death by her parents Stuart (Scotty) and Anselma Beckwith and her sister Marianne Stump. She is survived by her partner Dale Cary, 2 sons Johnny Stryker, Kevin Stryker, 2 sisters Maria Beckwith, Margaret Max, 3 brothers John Beckwith, Paul Beckwith, JD Beckwith and 4 grandchildren.

Laura was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 10, 1961. While her father was in the military, she lived in Missouri, Seattle and Virginia before her family settled in Seattle (Richmond Beach) in 1973. Laura attended Blanchet High School where she graduated in 1979. She lived in Marysville until 2019 when she moved to Mountlake Terrace where she lived until she passed.

Laura had a successful career working as a manager at Premera Blue Cross. She left Premera in 2015 after 30+ years. Since then she worked in retail and volunteered at the local food bank. Laura always had a smile and a warm greeting for everyone.

Laura loved her family, friends and being a grandmother. She loved taking vacations to Hawaii and swimming in the ocean. She played the flute, loved music, cooking, animals and horseback riding. She enjoyed taking road trips and going on hikes. Laura had a quick witty sense of humor and was quick to laugh. She was always willing to help anyone in need if she could. Laura was a well-loved, kind, thoughtful person with a gentle soul and will be sorely missed.
