Lauran Sanae Yorita

Lauran Sanae Yorita was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and cherished friend. She was born on April 21, 1964 in San Jose, California, the daughter of Mildred Yorita Price and Koji Yorita. She passed peacefully at home on January 27, 2019 of natural causes.
Lauran will be deeply missed by all who knew her, loved her, and considered her a close confidant. Her generosity and caring nature touched friends, colleagues, and family, as well as people she briefly encountered in life. Her energy and kindness lit up the room when she walked in. Her curiosity about the world was insatiable, and she was eager to share her knowledge.
Lauran attended Texas A&M University and received Bachelor of Science degrees in both anthropology and social science from San Jose State University. She last worked with Netflix. She loved working contract assignments that offered flexibility and she welcomed the excitement of ever-new challenges in her career.
Her greatest joy in life was her two dogs, Cosmo and then Bodie. Lauran ensured their lives were fun-filled and comfortable, and they, in turn, brought joy and laughter to her and to others. She also found great pleasure in the beauty this world offered her, and in photographing it to share on her social media accounts. She created beautiful table top books of her photography for her Mother.
Lauran is survived by her mother, Mildred Yorita Price, father, Koji Yorita, and brother, Michael J. Yorita. The relationship she had with Michael can only be regarded as doting big sister and lifelong best friend. The two were inseparable.

Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2019
