When I first met her in Denver, her hand was in a cast because she had socked her boyfriend in the shower. We literally laughed abut this from 1974 until about 2019. I also remember her squeezing through the doggie door at Camp Las Lomas.

The world will be a duller place without Laureen's bright spirit. She was delightfully unique. I will miss her.

Laureen epitomized living an authentic life. She wore bright fun colors, laughed freely and told it like it is. I respect her ability to do that so much and strive to keep her free spirit alive in how I move through this world.

Laureen and I met at what I endearingly call "FEMA Summer Camp." We both onboarded as FEMA Reservists in July 2019 and ended up in the same group. I remember the bright spot that was Laureen during a seemingly endless tedious week of FEMA details. She spoke about ADR (alternative dispute resolution) and the benefits of it. She was singing my favorite song! It was nice to meet a kindred spirit amongst the crowd.

We met her at the cottage at Keuka lake. Her hospitable nature and love of the cottage was always enjoyable. We will miss her caring and kindness for those that she shared making the cottage family memories.

I connected with Laureen at our last job and her warmth, compassion, encouragement and friendship will be missed. I am a better person for having known her. I am so sorry to her family for your loss.
