Dear Lauren,
This is the first time I have written to you since you passed away. I can't express how much it hurts to have to gone. I stare at your pictures hoping, praying for you to talk to me and tell me your OK and that this hasn't really happened. I want to wake up from this nightmare, hug you again....tell you how beautiful you are, laugh like geeks until you say in true Lauren fashion "Oh Auntie Julie"! Our lives will never be the same without you , our family never as fun.
William wants you to know that when he sees the big beautiful sun, he knows you are there.
Tori misses all the times that she won't have with you but wants you to know "she's got the door!" Wes, well he just say's that no matter what we do, he knows you are with us.
I find comfort in knowing just how much you knew your family loved you.
I will never again be afraid of death when it comes my way because I now know you will be waiting with your big huge smile and arms wide open.

Talked to your mom today, I'm sorry I couldn't be there tonight, I'm currently out of state, otherwise I would have. Out of all the listeners I ever met in person, you were easily one of my favorites. Obviously everyone loved to hang out with you, and I'd be included in that. I always thought you were funny, especially for a girl, and I don't think anyone could forget those eyes. I regret that we lost touch more recently, you were always fun to be around. I guess if there's any shining light to this, it's that you found God and were living your life the way you wanted to.
To your family and friends, I'm truly sorry for your loss, I didn't know her as well as most of you, but as you know with Lauren, it'd didn't take long for anyone to like her.

I didn't know Lauren very well, only through passing at school. I had the chance to work with Lauren when I was a Spanish Teacher's Assistant my senior year in high school. She always put 100% of her heart into everything. Never backing down from something she wanted. Lauren touched the hearts of many people, and she will be missed by all. To Lauren's family: I had never met Lauren, but I heard about her and about her passing from my son who had met her through recovery programs. I just wanted to share with you that, from what he told me, Lauren was a gorgeous girl with a beautiful spirit. Most of all, apparently she had made quite a great impression on others in recovery. You can be very proud of her and her 19 months of sobriety and the influence she had on others in recovery. I am so sorry for your loss, but please know that Lauren had an impact on other people's lives and that she is now in the arms of Jesus and may still be able to affect other lives. She has even touched my heart, and I did not even know her. I just know that she touched the hearts of many in Minnesota.

To Lauren's family-
I don't usually read the obituaries; in fact i rarely read the paper anymore. However, I read Lauren's obituary this morning and i was deeply touched. I am a recovering alcoholic and have been sober over 20 years. When I read that Laueren felt her greatest accomplishment was her 19 months of sobriety, I felt the meaning of what life meant. Everything suddenly came into perspective; I felt at peace and filled with gratitude. She was proud of her sobriety. Lauren helped me today and made an impact in my life.
