MANCHESTER -- Laurette B. Longden, 79, died Dec. 10, 2009, in St. Teresa's Manor.
She was born in Franklin on Dec. 24, 1929, to Joseph E. and Adrienne (Mercier) Boisvert. She was raised in Franklin and attended St. Mary School.
She was a resident of Manchester for many years, having worked at JF McElwain Shoe Co. for 20 years and later at Burger King in Manchester before retiring in 1985.
She was the widow of Walter O. Longden, who died in 2002.
Family members include four children, Richard W. Longden of Manchester, Diane M. VanLeer of Hooksett, James A. Longden of Hooksett, and Margaret A. Therrien of Manchester; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Yvette Desmarias of Manchester; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Paul A. Longden, in 1956, and Julien E. Longden, in 2000.
IN HER LIFE: Family members also include daughters-in-law, Linda Longden of Manchester, Gale Longden of Hooksett, and Sheila Longden of Manchester; sons-in-law, Robert VanLeer of Hooksett and Normand Therrien of Manchester. She was also predeceased by a sister, Genevieve Vaillancourt, who died last April.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, School Street, Franklin.
Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Thibault-Neun Funeral Home (www.neunfuneralhomes.com) of Franklin is assisting with arrangements.
