At our household, starting from when I was around 10 years old, it was an event when "Laurie and Mick" came to visit. With a fuzzy memory about the topics back then, I distinctly remember the loud laughter and that it was often. My mother (Alice) always held Laurie in the highest regard. She was right to do so. As my mother's health was quickly deteriorating just a few months ago, Laurie drove, with herself in pain, to visit her friend Alice. Even on that day, they laughed quite a bit. Laurie brightened a lot of days. Condolences to all her family and friends.
