HARMONY - Laurie Ann (Hudson) Provost, 53, passed away at Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield on June 17, 2014.
Laurie was born on April 9, 1961, in Dover-Foxcroft, to Herbert and Linda Hudson. She was the oldest daughter of the four children. After graduating from high school in Maine, she moved to San Diego, Calif., where she resided for 25 years working in property management. While in California, she obtained her license for cosmetology, which was a true passion of hers and practiced for many, many years. After becoming disabled, she returned to her beloved hometown of Harmony, where she was a devoted mother to her youngest son, Val. Throughout Laurie's life, she enjoyed reading, singing, dancing, riding horses, walking her goats, and caring for her Burmese cats.
Laurie loved her surviving family: daughter Angela Richard, her husband, Jake, and their children, Sierra, Jake JR and Piper; sons Justin Cretzler and Valentin Nekrasovv; father Herbert Hudson and his companion, Nancy Robinson; mother Linda Hudson; sister Shelly Wilbur and her husband, David; brothers Michael Hudson and Lance Hudson; nephew Hunter Wilbur and his wife, Rachael; and nieces Jordan Wilbur and Brittany Burgess.
A graveside service and burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at North Road Cemetery in Harmony. A reception will follow at the Harmony Community Center on Main Stream Road in Harmony.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to her youngest son, Val, to continue his education: c/o Valentin Nekrasovv, P.O. Box 166, Harmony, ME 04942.
Arrangements are under the care of Dan & Scott's Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan.

I often sit and think about how much your family and mine seemed to be one whole family as dad and buddy as well as mom and Linda were very close friends... Dad meeting buddy in military and becoming best friends ...mom and Linda being friends from school years and . I remember going to camp in St. Albans as a young kid and we all doing things And the egg festival in Pittsfield as well...buddy taught me at camp how to swim... ... Those days are memories always... Laurie was a sweet person andI her laugh and smile will always be remembered..again your family was like my own... Love and miss all if u... God bless!!

love and miss you mom... you are at peace now...I will keep your memory alive. I speak of you often and show the girls pictures. Even though you are only here in spirit, Im going to make sure Sierra and Piper know they had a grandmother that loved them very much and she will forever watch over them.

There are several quotes that remind me of Laurie: "Angels can fly because the take themselves lightly" and "So many wings come here dipping honey and speak here in your home". I wish that Laurie could have stayed with us longer,it was not to be so the Angels from Heaven called upon her to put on her garment of wings and whirled her away. Anyone who knew Laurie knew she had a compassionate heart and a loving Spirit and was an Angel here on earth, may she sing loudly now in her new home. RIP my sweet friend.

Laurie and I were very good friend, grew up together and shared many many days and nights having fun, but the greatest joy I saw Laurie have was when her daughter Angela was born. She was a very caring and grateful mother and at a young age was able to experience the greatest thing in life, life itself.
