Plain Dealing, LA- Funeral services for LaVerne Peterson Goodman, age 93, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the Plain Dealing Church of Christ, Plain Dealing, LA with Adam Miller and Jerry Arrington officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 PM at the Stephens Cemetery, Stephens, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Goodman was born on September 20, 1922, to Albert and Thelma Arrington Starritt in Stephens, AR and passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, in Bossier City. She was a member of the Plain Dealing Church of Christ and worked as an office clerk for SWEPCO in Plain Dealing for over 16 years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Alsabrook of Plain Dealing, LA, Lisa Peterson of Arlington, TX; four grandchildren, Brandon and wife, Kathleen of Benton, LA, Linzi and husband, Justin of Benton, LA, Skye and Brady of Arlington, TX; three great-grandchildren, Kalie, Aaron, and Adleigh of Benton, LA; sister, Charline Davis of Stephens, AR; three nephews, Alan Davis, Van Davis, Doug Davis; niece, Susan Kissiah; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Earl B. Peterson and Frank Goodman; brother-in-law, Don Davis; and nephew, Charles Davis.

Plain Dealing, LA- Pallbearers will be Alan Davis, Van Davis, Doug Davis, Jerry Arrington, Chad Gauthier and Mike Brown.

An immeasurable thank you to Sherrey McGraw and to the Barnett/Brown family for their support and love shown to Mam-Maw Honey and also to her many supportive caregivers during her last year.
