Lavinia PLEVY Obituary

PLEVY _ Lavinia (Vena). Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died peacefully on Sunday, August 31st, 2003 at Burnaby Hospital in her 95th year. Born February 16th, 1909, in Vancouver, she was a Burnaby resident for 75 years, including the past 6 years at Abbeyfield House. Predeceased by her husband F.W. (Bill) Plevy in 1988, and grandson Michael Kravac in 1958. Surviving are her daughters Gloria (Nick) Kravac, Bev (Jack) Wallace and son Wilf (Audrey) Plevy, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and her sisters Lilian Ashton and Winifred Phillipson. Mom enjoyed her luncheons with the Thursday "Lunch Bunch" at Confederation Seniors Center, and her monthly "Gadabouts" trips. The family extends special thanks to Mom's Home Support workers and the caring staff of unit 7 EF at Burnaby Hospital for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society of Canada, B.C. division #1600-1130 W. Pender St., Vancouver, BC, V6E 4A4, or a charity of your choice are welcomed. Cremation, and no service at Mom's request. Mom leaves a legacy of love.
