Lavon Lee Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 10, 2015.
Ethel Lavon "Vonski" Acton Lee is forcing us to throw her "Last Party" way before any of us were ready because she joined our Lord and Savior on November 8, 2015. Lavon was born January 15, 1941 in Louisville, KY to Bud and Ollie Springer and her much older big brother, Dennis, who was probably none too happy to have her crowd his space (though he did appreciate her later when she beat the snot out of a bully for him). Lavon is survived by her husband of 22 years, Byron Lee, and her proudest accomplishments, Tim Acton, Phil Acton, and Angie Acton Byrnes (otherwise known as "the favorite"), three step-sons – Doug Lee, David Lee, and Dusty Lee – that she adored like her own (well, unless they were being ornery), four sweet daughters in law and the best son in law (yes, "the favorite" wrote this) a mom could ever dream of for her daughter. Her 13 grandchildren were the absolute light of her life and she adored them all. And, we can't forget the two great-grandchildren who allowed her to excitedly claim the title, "GREAT granny" (though she was great before them)!

Lavon spent her entire personal and professional life touching other people, both figuratively and literally. She was a Christian, missionary, teacher, principal, counselor, Spanish speaker, Sunday school teacher, mentor, coach, shoulder to cry on, advice giver (even if you didn't want it!), hugger, practical joke player, matchmaker (cupid she was not!), photo-taker, role model, and the best mommy, granny, and wife anyone could ever want.
Lavon lived a life most people only read about in books. Action. Adventure. Romance. Mystery. You name it. She lived it. And she has left a hole in our hearts that no one will ever fill. But, momma, you're whole again and we know you're now home with your Lord and Savior. Love to the sky.

Lavon's Last Party will be at 10 am at First Baptist Church in Marble Falls, TX on November 14, 2015. Colorful attire encouraged since this is a celebration! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joni and Friends Wheels for the World or her grandsons' wonderful school that she loved so much, EA Young Academy.

But we have to stop now, because if we exceed 400 words, it'll cost $435 more dollars. And, we all know Byron!
