Leo George Roell

ROELL, Leo G. beloved husband for 56yrs of Carolyn (Toerner) Roell. Loving father of Steven (Julie) Roell, Mary Lynn (David) Horn and Christopher Roell. Devoted grandpa of Justin & Nicholas Horn and Caitlin Roell. Dear brother of Beatrice Minges. Visitation Monday, June 13, 2011 from 10:30am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at St. Ignatius Church (Hilvert Hall). Leo was born in Cheviot, Ohio on August 10, 1929 to Leo and Lillian Mae (Schmitt) Roell. He attended St. Catharine Grade School, Elder High School and the University of Cincinnati. He served in the US Navy from July 1952 to October 1955 and was discharged as a Lt. He served aboard the USS Sigourney (DD-643) as an Electronics officer and operations officer. Prior to retirement Leo was employed by The Buschman Company, a Cincinnati conveyor manufacturer where he rose to become the Executive Vice President. He was a member of the Country Club of Hilton Head Island and formerly a member and Past President of Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati. Flowers may be delivered to St. Ignatius.
