Frances Elaine Preuss

Frances Elaine Preuss, age 86, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at her home. She was born on January 21, 1925. Frances graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1943. She married Fred Preuss in 1945 and enjoyed 63 years of marriage before his death in 2009. Frances enjoyed bowing with her husband in their Ma & Pa league. She loved to garden and was an avid Bowling Green Football and Detroit Tigers fan. As a founding member, Frances was actively involved at Judson Baptist Church where she held various roles including secretary and youth leader. Frances is survived by her children, Dan Preuss, Lynn Carol Preuss-Belote and Jeff (Gloria) Preuss; grandchildren, Bridget, Heidi, Hannah (Josh), Rachel, Sarah, Jason and Maegan; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Francis, Alex, Kaylee, Jasmine, Lindsey, Abbie, Wallace, Venicio, Spencer, Griffin and Parker. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence and Robert. Friends and family may visit on Thursday from 3-8 pm at the Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). A private graveside service will be held on Friday at Ottawa Hills Memorial Par. Contributions in Frances' name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
