LAWRENCE DALTON BRIDGEWATER III

BATAVIA - Lawrence Dalton Bridgewater III, 56, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 6, 2021, following a seven-year cancer battle that Larry fought with grace and humor. Larry and his siblings grew up in Glen Ellyn, IL, where he graduated from Glenbard West High School in 1982. He went on to be a talented carpenter and roofing expert who enjoyed family gatherings, live musical performances and raising his daughters. Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Bridgewater; father, Lawrence Dalton Bridgewater II; brother, Mark Bridgewater and sister Kathy Wright. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Bridgewater (Ben) and Isabella Bridgewater; sister, Kim Shaver (Bart); brother Steven Bridgewater (Liz); brother, Richard Bridgewater; brother-in-law, Steven Wright; sister-in-law, Jean Petersen (Bridgewater) and his niece, nephews and cousins: Michael and Shelly Wright, Joshua and Meredith Bridgewater, Dan Field, Michael and Stephanie McCutcheon, Brittany Polly, Jake Cinkus, Peyton Wright, Presley Wright, Virginia Bridgewater and Violet Bridgewater. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to Fifth Third Bank, under "Isabella Bridgewater" for her college fund.
