LAWRENCE GREEN "Larry" (Age 47)
Of Potomac , Maryland died suddenly July 4, 2104 at his family beach home in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Larry was a graduate of Bishop Ireton High School and attended Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina. He was a local business owner involved in landscaping, a health gym franchise, and was part of a family owned pre-school and day care center, Augusta School, in Sterling, Virginia. He was scheduled to open a new personal training facility in Ashburn, Virginia August 1st. Larry is survived by his wife Heidi, son Blaine, 16, and daughter Brooke, 14; by his mother and father Thomas and Elaine Green of Great Falls, Virginia; and his grandmother Mary Helen Haggerty, 91, of Arlington, Virginia. He also is surrounded by numerous sister and brother-laws as well as many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4101 Norbeck Road, Rockville, MD. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry's name to his children's schools; Georgetown Prep Development Office, 10900 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, MD 20852 or Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, 9101 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20814. To the Green Family: I am so deeply sorry and shocked to hear about Larry passing away. He trained me at the gym in Sterling for a few sessions and I know he was excited to move forward with plans and goals when he left there. He always spoke so highly of his wife, children, and dog. Although we didn't spend much time together recently I foundly remember years ago before we all had children. Suzie, Heidi and I going to meet Larry downtown... We will all miss you Larry!

Larry, you will surely be missed my good friend. I look back over the years and will remember the great times we spent hanging out together. You were the first friend that I made while attending Bishop Ireton for the short stent that I had. You and I quickly became friends and will never forget how you welcomed me in! I can still remember Physics class with Mr. Boland, you and I sitting together cutting up and having a good time while tyring to focus on class at the same time..it feels like yesterday we were there together. Numerous Rehoboth Beach trips, walking the board walk scoping out the scenery. Buying matching Polo rugby shirts and quickly starching the collars to keep them up! We were two vain individuals.. look back and just laugh. We lost touch after high school and didn't reconnect until 15 years later when we ran into each other at Sears Auto in Sterling, Va. It was meant to be. We both had less hair but still recognized each other. Ironically enough, turns out we lived in the same community in Lowes Island about one block from each other. It was nice for our families to spend time together and connect. These are the fond memories that will stay with me forever. I know you are in a good place with God at your side. For me this is just a temporary separation. I know we will see each other again! Our toughts and prayers are with the Green family.
