Lawrence Eugene Squire, Jr. was born to Lawrence and Bonnie (Braun) Squire, Sr. on September 6, 1956 in Fontana, California. His family later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Lawrence graduated from Widefield High School in 1975.
He married Shirley Wigton on May 2, 1981. To this union, three sons were born: Benjamin Eugene was born in 1982, Michael Kenneth in 1986, and Jory David in 1992.
Lawrence worked at Eagle Picher Industrial, Inc. and Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region prior to starting his 37-year career at the Tick Tock Shop as a clock repairman.
He loved family, fishing, sports, music, playing guitar, and playing with his sons and grandchildren. In his younger years, he also enjoyed playing on the church softball and basketball teams.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his father and mother Lawrence and Bonnie Squire, Sr, his mother-in-law Arlene Wigton, and son Philip John Squire.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, of 37 years; his three sons Benjamin Eugene (Suzanne), Michael Kenneth, and Jory David (Kodi); four grandchildren Kaiden Michael, Kyleigh Jade, Kaileb Austin, and Katelyn Marie. He is also survived by his brother Mark Squire; sisters Laurie and Merilynn Squire; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
His family wishes to extend their gratitude to the UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central Intensive Care Unit for their support in his final days.
A celebration of life is scheduled in his honor on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00am, at Pikes Peak Christian Church, located at 4955 Bradley Road, Colorado Springs.
