Leah BAKER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 15, 2022.
February 1, 1935 - October 6, 2022

God's newest angel. It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of their mother, grandmother and friend, Leah Baker (nee Moreland). She passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, Thursday morning, October 6, 2022 at the age of 87. She is reunited with her beloved husband William "Bill Baker and will be lovingly remembered by her children Stephen Baker (Nancy) and Susan Irwin. Nana will be missed by her grandchildren (her pride and joy) Brittany, Tayler, Albert, David and Shannon. Leah is also reunited with her infant daughter Elizabeth, late foster parents Reginald 'Reggie' and Orianna Owens, and her 13 siblings. She will be remembered for her loving ways by her many nieces and nephews. Leah loved spending time with family and friends on Grandview Road and later in 'God's Country' at her beloved White Lake home. She also enjoyed her working days as an accountant at the Grace Hospital in Ottawa. She always had a smile ready, enjoyed new endeavors and lived each day to the fullest. Friends paid their respects during visitation at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., Thursday evening, October 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Friday. Funeral Service was conducted Friday, October 14, 2022 in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at the White Lake Community Cemetery. Family and friends were invited to the White Lake United Church Hall following the interment for a Luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. George's Anglican Church, Waba or the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
