Leanne Prestridge Obituary
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S. Soncy Rd. with Rev. Jerry Hopkins officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Leanne was born on December 31, 1954 in Amarillo, Texas, to C.A. Evans Jr. and Dorris Dunavant Evans. She was a graduate of Amarillo High School in 1973. Leanne married the love of her life, John Prestridge on June 21, 1996. Leanne retired from Valero Energy in 2015. She loved volunteering with Meals on Wheels while she was still employed with Valero. Leanne was a member of Hillside Christian Church.
Leanne was preceded in death by her father, C.A. Evans in 1983, a sister, Kay Lynette Evans in 1967, Grandparents, Joe and Carlene Dunavant, C.A. Evans Sr. and Sadie Evans.
She is survived by her husband; John Prestridge of the home; Son, Brandon Hefner of Austin; Daughter, Christie Boswell and Husband Jack; her Mother, Dorris Evans Ford; a Sister, Gay Harris and husband Glen; and Grandchildren Reagon Boswell and Brody Boswell all of Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, American Diabetes Association or your favorite charity.

Leanne was very special. Even though she endured many health issues, she always had such a beautiful spirit about her. I will miss her! We have all missed her since she retired from Valero! May God bless her family with His peace.

I worked with Leanne at Diamond Shamrock in the 70s and 80s. Always thought she was a very sweet and lovely person.
