Dear Jean and family,
Few medical professionals have touched my life more than Dr Ashmun. For unknown reasons he befriended me and the staff of the microbiology lab at Kettering Hospital. We laughed dutifully at his jokes, and listened respectfully to his political rants...and totally respected is diagnostic abilities and his absolute devotion to giving his young patients the best medicine he could deliver. I have missed him and his stories often since the move to New Hampshire. He was one in a million!
God bless,

May peace be with you Dr. Ashmun as you carry your little black bag into the heavens. Your work here is done. Your loving care will stay as a lasting memory forever with so many children...now adults. Peace Be With You....till we meet again.

Dr. Ashmund was our family pediatrician for about 14 years while we lived in Kettering.
My fondest memories of him was not only his gentle professionalism, but also he was just a good person.
We never felt that as a physician he was talking down to us, and was always patient when we asked stupid questions.
He was a gentle person and will truely be missed.
Our prayers are with you. I thank God for sending Dr. Ashmund into our lives when we needed him the most.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. I remember how kind Dr Ashmun was and him giving me my small pox vaccine and treating me when I got blood poisoning from a sting. They sure dont make Dr.'s like him anymore. The Bogan Family( Rhonda Hendricks)

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Ashmun's family. My sister & went to his father for years & I started my family with Dr. Sterling, then when he had a heart attack I took them to Dr. Lee. I eventually had 8 children & he took care of all of them. He was a wonderful Dr., I always felt my children were in the best of hands. I am so sorry to hear of his passing but he certainly had a wonderful life & took wonderful care of so many children. He will be in my prayers as will his family. Thanks Dr. Ashmun for all of your care with my children.
Sincerely,
Maureen Hunt

I am almost certain that Dr. Ashmun was my doctor when I was little. His office was on the corner of Stroop & Far Hills. I, somewhat, remember the inside of his office. My mother, to this day, still raves about what a fine doctor he was to her children! As we got older, he recommended Dr. V.H. Dodson to us. He remains my families doctor to this day. I am 53 years old....MY CONDOLENCES TO YOU & YOURS.

Deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Ashmun. He was my pediatrician when I was a kid. I am now 61. We first started with his dad. I remember him too. My prayers are with all of you. He was a caring man who took good care of so many patients. He will be missed. Sherry "Klitch" Baker
