Lee Murry Obituary
Lee was born in Memphis TN on August 19, 1956 to Oscar Manual Murry and Francis Delia (Anglin) Murry. He graduated from Messick High School in Memphis and attended State Technical college. Lee married the love his life, Maria, on July 23, 1988, and welcomed their only son Andrew (AJ) in 1992. Lee became a dedicated Sysco employee in 1990 and recently retired after 33 years of service.
Lee proudly achieved his Eagle Scout designation and continued in Boy Scouts leadership for Troop #89 of the Chickasaw Council for 15 years, positively affecting the lives of numerous young men. His focus was his family and friends--he loved traveling and exploring the world with them, (And alittle gambling!) He also loved entertaining at home, family and friends were always welcomed. Lee's favorite solo hobby was reading, especially Fantasy and Science Fiction genres.
Lee was preceeded in death by his parents and is survived by his beloved family, Maria, AJ, brothers David, Mark, Andrew and sisters Kim Melton and Trisha Gruber,
Nephews Kyle, Casey, Jason Murry, Michael Melton, Oscar, Max Gruber and Niece Bethany Carwile.
Lee's Celebration of a Life Well Lived will be held on June 14, 2025, at the Murry Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lee's name can be sent to the Chickasaw Boy Scout Council to support future scouts at: 171 S. Hollywood St, TN 38112 or online at https://wwwchickasaw.org/honorary-memorial.
