Lee Stevens Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 4, 2010.
WELLFLEET — Lee (Frazier) Stevens lost her battle to colon cancer on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at her home in Wellfleet surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Lee was born and raised in Wellfleet, the daughter of the late Charles and Helmi (Lee) Frazier. Lee graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Kingston, and for a short time resided in Warwick, R.I., where she had her two children with her former husband, Gary Stevens.

She is survived by a son, Brendon Stevens of Wellfleet, and daughter Kendra Pennick and her husband David of Connecticut; granddaughter Madison Lee; and sister Lynne Heyliger and her husband Theodore Heyliger. She was the aunt of Helmi, Jerrad, Saba and Kristian.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at the Congregational Church in Wellfleet.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee's name to Prevent Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 34885, Alexandria, VA 22334; www.preventcancer.org.

Notes of sympathy and comfort may be made to the family at www.MorrisOConnorBlute.com.

Kendra, Brendon, Lynne, Manny and family
My heartfelt sympathies are with you. Lee was both fun and giving as well as a funny, exciting and loving woman. She has been taken from us too young, and I will miss her very much. She has been my best friend, best phone buddy, and best ever dinner buddy with no reservations required. God bless her now and forever.
