Leeann Welbourn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 28, 2023.
Leeann Nicole Welbourn, 19, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2007 due to an unforseen pancreatic illness in Colorado Springs where she had been a resident for the last seven years. Leeann was a childcare worker and student in District 11. She was born to Leroy Welbourn on February 28, 1988 in Denver, Colorado and was raised by her paternal grandmother Mercedes Welbourn (Sandoval) whom was a mother to her. Leeann was definitely her own person and loved those close to her. She was strong-willed and had a great sense of humor considering all she had been through in her young life. Leeann had a kinship with children and animals that came out in her work. She always wanted to do her best and was a constant cleaner and organizer. Leeann is survived by her older siblings Jason Stock and Shannon Shannon; two uncles: Robert (wife Darlene) and Tim (wife Karen) Sandoval; aunt Cheryl Sandoval; adoptive parents Joseph and Kay Andrews; guardians Gail J. Jones and Joanne Howells; nieces: "Ginger" and Cheyenne Stock, numerous cousins and friends as well as her biological Mother Barbara Stock. Her Father Leroy preceded her in death. A Celebration of Leeann's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3010 West Bijou, Colorado Springs, 80904.
