Leerene Alice Maupin "Lee" Mangano

Leerene (Lee) Alice Maupin Mangano, 87, passed away peacefully at home in Pearl River, La. surrounded by loved ones on July 29, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Born August 6, 1934 in Farrell, Ms., she moved to Franklin, La in 1957 then to Slidell, La in 1975. She was a member of The Mystick Krewe of Perseus and Bayou Liberty Garden Club for many years and other various clubs around the Slidell and Pearl River area. Survived by her children Jesse (Linda) Moore, Wayne (Martha) Moore, Brenda (Smitty) Smith, Tammy (Larry) Legnon, Frank Mangano and Blaise (Robin) Mangano. 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. Preceding her in death, her husband Louis J. Mangano, Sr., son Louis J. Mangano, Jr., daughter Tina Mangano, daughter in law Anna Mangano and grandson Rossi Lipari. Her parents Alex and Florene Maupin, her sisters Doris Somerville and Faye Sue Maupin, and brother Boyce Maupin. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Jeremy Moore, Taylor Moore, Morgan Moore, Justin Moore, Jordan Mangano and Joseph Mangano. Services were held at D.T. Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River, La on August 3, 2022 with interment immediately following.
