May he rest easy, he left a lifelong impression on me while I attended his African studies class during my time at Broward College. I did not know he had passed. I will always remember that first day of class when he walked in with a dashiki and greeted us, "Jambo!" I graduated with my bachelor's and I thought of him. I graduated with my masters and I thought of him. Mr. Molovinsky was special.

I had the great fortune of attending multiple classes taught by Lem at WCCC in the late 80’s. He was always passionate about our course of study and offered after class time to discuss current events. I attended WCCC because the Steel Mills were closing and I had no real academic direction in life. Dr. Molovinsky is the main reason I completed my BA In Political Science. I’ve thought about him often and am truly devastated that he is no longer with us. Rest in peace Lem.

Wow... here I am 8 years later. I decided to google Dr. Molovinsky to see what he was up too. What an amazing individual!... he was so enthusiastic and passionate about African American History and the fight for equality and justice. I think everyone who had any form of contact with him would agree that his passion definitely rubbed off. He actually inspired me to pursue a degree in Law. I am very saddened that he is gone but definitely not forgotten. RIP professor Molovinsky...

OH MY GOD
I just tried to call him I had lost touch with him. I had him as a Prof at BCC. Truly an amazing guy. I have no words to describe the love and compassion he teemed with. I always talk about this man to everybody I know. He has impacted my life for an eternity. I just left him a voice message not knowing he had passed on. He will be truly missed. A light that is so needed in this world, I will continue to allow his energy to shine in my heart. WOW an amazing human being.

Professor, you taught me more about myself than anyone ever has. Because of you, I know who I am today. You will truly be missed. It's unfortunate that there aren't many others like you in this world. I'm just glad to have known you. I will think about you all the time as I've always had. Sleep well professor.

I had the honor of being one of Professor Molovinsky's students, he tried to help with everything he had, teach me everything he knew, and listened to me as I did him. I tried to contact him thinking we could have a chat, and I am completely shocked he is no longer here with us, let alone I didn't know for almost a year. To one of the greatest people I knew, and kindest may you rest in peace.

Dear friends, I am saddened to hear of Lemuels passing. I had the pleasure of building his swimming pool in Wilkinsburg many years ago. I too enjoyed his hospitality over the years. May he rest in peace.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of beloved professor Lemuel Molovinsky. I cannot believe what I am reading especially since on a whim I just decided to google his name since I haven't heard from him in a while. What a phenomenal professor, I took all of his History classes at Broward College. He was engaging, enthusiastic and passionate about his lectures and really brought African American history to life in his classes. I will surely miss him. Rest In Peace sir.

I had no idea of Professor Molovinsky's passing until just this minute when my co-worker shared this with me. I had asked her to call him to be a guest speaker for African-American studies here at work. What a great loss. He was a great professor at BC who I really admired for his knowledge and teaching style. My sincere sympathy to his friends and family.

I am so sad to hear about Lemuel's passing. Forty years ago he shared with me his passion for history and education. His classroom transformed my life and gave me direction and the conviction to pursue it. I have for the past thirty-five years been teaching history in my own college classrooms and each time I am in front of my students I try to give them what Lemuel gave me.

Every once in a while I'll go on line and type in one of my friends I knew years ago and I just thought of Lemuel. I remember him from the time he lived at the Dorchester in Philadelphia in the early 70's. Wow! was he a looker... and always so nice and such a very sweet wonderful person. It really saddens me when I see my former friends are not around anymore and I was really shocked when I saw this obituary. I always like to email my friends of long ago but now I can't touch base with him because he's gone too. My condolences to you and to remind you of how lucky you were to have known and loved him and having to be able to spend the last 30 years with him. He always made me happy when I heard his voice.

We are profoundly saddened to learn of Lemuel's passing. He was one of the most honest and integrity-driven people that I have ever known. He treated his friends like gold, and he freely gave the kind of love that transformed the people around him. He mentored many and fed even more. He was a friend to me when I needed it most, and he will be so very missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Vince. We love you Lemuel!!!!

I was saddened to read about Lemuel's passing today. Lemuel was the sweetest person I have ever met and probably will ever meet. He extended his friendship and wisdom to everyone he came in contact with and helped students achieve success regardless of their backgrounds. He loved cooking and sharing his thoughts about all of the different cultures of food he could make. He was the life of any party. Sometimes he would even bring you his home made food as a surprise. Lemuel has made the world a better place and he will always be in my memory. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I was thinking about Mr. Molovinsky about a week ago and asking about him all around. I was one of his nurses and I am very saddened to here of his passing on obituaries. Mr. Molovinsky was a kind heart who loved to talk to me and all of us about his students and classes as a history teacher. his face just lit up; he was so passionate about it... I can really tell. I remember how when he conversed with us he would take our hands and smile... And how lovely he would speak about Vince. I will miss you Lemuel. And I will never forget what a wonderful person you are.
