ELLIS, LENA DAVIS - age 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2015. She was born to the late Robert and Jessie Davis in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Old Austin High School and was a devoted member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Louis Ellis; daughters, Glenna and Sharon Dennis; grandchildren, Charles and Shamane Earles. She is survived by children, Robert Ellis, Knoxville, Daine (Algie) Morris, Texas, Barbara (Walter) Hanshaw, Mississippi, Joe (Ruby) DeVance, Georgia; four generations of grandchildren; special family friends, Raymond Woods and Tommy Dennis; other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., Monday, at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Funeral service 7:00 p.m., Rev. Dr. Valentino McNeal officiating. Interment 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sherwood Memorial Park. Arrangements by Jarnigan & Son Mortuary.www.jarnigansmortuary.com
