Lenn Holland Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 15, 2025.
Marian Lennis "Lenn" Holland, 75, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, at her home in West Palm Beach, Florida, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Her strength, grace, and unwavering determination throughout her illness were a testament to the resilience and spirit that defined her life.

Born on March 21, 1950, in Leesburg, Virginia, Lenn was the daughter of William and Marian Varn. She pursued a life of purpose and compassion, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Journalism before going on to complete her Master's in Social Work. Her academic achievements laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and advocacy.

Lenn's professional path reflected her deep commitment to helping others, particularly those with HIV/AIDS, addictions, gay/lesbian issues, and bereavement issues. Her work in social services touched countless lives and was guided by empathy, insight, and an unshakable belief in the dignity of every individual. Beyond her career, Lenn was an active member of the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, where she served in various leadership roles. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and a source of strength for those around her.

Family was at the heart of everything Lenn did. She is survived by her beloved wife, Denise Bleau, daughter Kristin St. Martin and husband Kyle St. Martin, daughter Danielle Holland; and her cherished grandchildren Hayley, Paige, and Kaitlin St. Martin. She also leaves behind her brother Latane Varn and wife YVaughan Varn, brother Graham Varn and wife Mary Quillinan; nephew Liam Varn, wife Hemali and their two children; and niece Lace, husband Fern and their two children. Lenn's love for her family was boundless-she celebrated their joys, supported them through challenges, and created lasting memories filled with warmth.

Lenn found joy in many passions that reflected her vibrant personality. She loved crafting with care and creativity, writing from the heart, tending to gardens that bloomed under her touch, and dancing to country western tunes with infectious enthusiasm. The Smoky Mountains held a special place in her heart-a sanctuary where she felt most connected to God and nature's beauty. Her affection for animals knew no bounds; she adored dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, Highland cows, goats, and Missouri mules alike.

Throughout her life-and especially during her illness-Lenn inspired all who knew her with her ability to smile through adversity and uplift others even on the hardest days. She showed us what it means to live with hope and dignity no matter the circumstances.

We are grateful for every moment we shared with Lenn Holland. Her memory will continue to guide us with love and light. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 26, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches, 900 Brandywine Road. Reception immediately following. Those attending are asked to wear their favorite bright colors or western wear.
