Martha B. Hintz

HINTZ, MARTHA B. - Of Saline, MI, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Garden Terrace Nursing Home located in Chatham, NJ. She was born May 29, 1916 in Oil City, PA, the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Strauss) Berry. Martha graduated from the University of Michigan in 1938. On September 2, 1939 she married Harold Joseph Hintz in Oil City and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2004. Martha was an active volunteer throughout her life, most notably for the Red Cross and Saline Hospital. She enjoyed her participation in the "Grandma's Golf League" in Saline. She is survived by her two sons, Harold Hintz, Jr. and his wife, Colleen, of Randolph, NJ and Michael Hintz and his wife, Kate, of Mahtomedi, MN; four grandchildren, Scott Hintz and Megan Petrocelli of Chesapeake, VA, Sarah Mearas of Flagstaff, AZ and Nicholas Hintz of Gibsonton, FL; and three great-grandchildren, Evan and Alexander Hintz and Madison Jane Petrocelli. Visitation will be Monday, October 22, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home, Saline, MI. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the ROBISON-BAHNMILLER FUNERAL HOME, Saline, MI with the Reverend Dr. James E. Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanover Cemetery located in Hanover, MI.
