Leon S. "Skip" Cashwell Jr.

Leon Samuel "Skip" Cashwell, Jr., 72, of Windsor, beloved husband of Claire (Arsenault) Cashwell, devoted father and loving poppy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Leesburg, FL to the late Leon Sr. and Julia (Rosen) Cashwell, he was raised in Richmond, VA and has been a Windsor resident for the last 20 years. Skip earned his bachelor's degree from William & Mary College, his Master's from Stanford University and his PhD from Bryant College. He worked as a computer scientist and ran his own company, Pathfinders Enterprise Solutions. He was a member of the Beth David Synagogue in West Hartford and the Masons Washington Lodge #70 in Windsor. Skip had many interests including photography and astrology, but his main passion was his family who will miss him immensely. Besides his wife Claire of Windsor, he is survived by his daughters, Lauren Irizarry and her husband Humberto, of Ashburn, VA and Dana Resoso and her husband Royce of Allen, TX; his grandchildren, Whitney, Kylie, Jordyn, Brandon, Ava, Nico, Jaxon and Clóe; and his great-grandchild Ceci. His family will receive friends on Monday, July 23 from 6 PM to 9 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor.
