LEON T. CONWAY AGE: 68 PARSIPPANY Leon T. Conway, 68, passed away on Friday, July 23rd, 2010 at Overlook Hospital in Summit following a long illness. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 15, 1942 to the late Carlos & Faye Conway. Leon played football at Butler High School & at Morehead State University before transferring to the University of Kentucky where he earned a BS & MS in electrical engineering. He later received his MBA from Fairleigh Dickerson University. Leon left Kentucky to begin his 30 year career with the Bell System/AT&T, working on missile defense in Kwajalein, Marshall Island where he was an avid scuba diver. His love of adventure and travel continued throughout his life, a passion he shared with his wife. Leon will be remembered as an avid basketball player, an organizer of senior basketball leagues, a long time coach of Par-Troy Little League West, former president of the Parsippany Hills Booster Association, and a devoted husband & father. Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Judy I. (nee-Corum)); his loving sons Russell and his wife Amanda of Providence, R.I. and Steven of N.Y. City; his dear brother, Willie of Grand Island, FL.; and his 2 cherished grandchildren: Lauren and Benjamin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, July 26th 2010 at 7:30 P.M. at the Par-Troy Funeral Home 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. (973)887-3235 or visit www.partroyfuneralhome.com. Cremation: Private. Visiting hours are on Monday from 5-8 P.M. ONLY at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to a charity of your choice.
