John David "Jack" Donnelly

JOHN DAVID "JACK" DONNELLY Donnelly, John David "Jack" passed away peacefully Friday, December 9, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. Jack was the cherished husband of 44 years to Suzanne, the beloved father to Marcy Eileen Donnelly, John Donnelly Jr. and Molly Brown (Ryan); a loving grandfather of Bridget and Anne Brown, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his dear parents James & Ellen and brothers Jim & Joe. Jack was born and raised in the Bay Area, graduating in 1952 from St. Ignatius Preparatory in San Francisco and in 1956 from the University of Notre Dame. He served three years as an officer in the United States Navy on the carrier USS Hancock. Jack worked four years at Kaiser Steel in Public Relations and Sales, and then spent the rest of his career (39 years) in the sales division of AC Delco / General Motors, retiring in March 2002. The Huntington Beach resident was a parishioner and Lector at St. Mary's By The Sea Church. Jack was loved by all that knew him and will be deeply missed . A rosary will be recited for him on Tuesday, December 13th at 6:00 pm. A funeral mass on Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Mary's By The Sea Church, 321 10th St. Huntington Beach, CA.
