Leon Loveless Obituary
Born in Syracuse, N.Y. Leon had lived in Lambertville, N.J. since 1966 and in Maryland since 2006. He was a former member of the Amwell Lodge No.12 Free & Accepted Masons, the Lambertville Moose Lodge, the Lambertville Elks Lodge and the Lambertville American Legion and VFW. He had volunteered as a baseball coach for many years with the Lambertville Baseball 8-12 League, and retired as a custodian at East Amwell Elementary School. Leon retired from the U.S. Navy with 23 years of service to his country.
Son of the late Ernest and Lula Loveless, widower of Shirley Fleck Loveless, and brother of the late Ernest Loveless Jr., Etta Stoutenger, May Wescott and Francis Loveless, he is survived by his son, Leon E. Loveless Jr., and his wife Anna of Conowingo; daughters, Amy Loveless and her husband Jon Fiel of Ewing Township, N.J., Margaret Myers her husband Dean (Jr.) of Texas; three sisters, Betty Mosher and her husband Richard, Cora Weller and her husband Ray, Barbara Weller; one brother, Arthur Loveless and his wife Lucretia; and his eleven grandchildren, Kerrie Loveless, Shyrl Myers, Brianna Myers, Dean Myers III, Ricky Loveless, Katelyn Loveless, Aaron Loveless, Noah Loveless, Dakota Fiel and Jillian Fiel.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 20) at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St., Rt. 179, Lambertville, N.J. Calling hours are from 3 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church, 226 Locktown Sergeantsville Road, Stockton, NJ 08559.
