Leona Weakland Obituary
Leona Mae Weakland (née Lockett), passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Portland, Oregon at nearly 98 years of age.
Born on September 25, 1927, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Leona lived a long and full life marked by devotion and quiet strength. She was united in marriage to John Weakland, with whom she shared 77 years of marriage before his passing. Their enduring partnership was a testament to love and commitment.
Leona was a woman of faith and a devoted member of the Catholic Church throughout her life. Her spiritual foundation guided her through nearly a century of life's joys and challenges.
A funeral service will be held in Portland, Oregon, honoring her life and legacy.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her. A Funeral Mass will be held on September 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Ignatius Catholic Church 3400 SE 43rd Ave.

I´ll never forget I brought real flowers to her house in Woodburn . I didn´t know she was allergic to flowers, until kippy run out and said you can´t give that to mom she´s allergic too real flowers! I walked in and said Aunt Leona I got you flowers , real ones, they are outside. She smiled. She has alwsyd treated me like family. She will be missed!
