Dear Mrs Lee, Robin, Lucie, Jamie and family,
I was sad to hear of Mr. Lee's passing. I honestly thought he would live at least as long as his mother. He was a great business man and I know he loved his wife and family dearly. I had 12 great years working directly with him as we built the Lee Valley Garden division from nothing to something really great. He taught me many valuable lessons in those years. Some not so easy to take at the time but all eventually appreciated and now treasured. I wish you all much love, peace and hope for the days to come. Kind regards to all, Rob Lunan

My deepest sympathies to the family.
I have never met Mr. Lee but have read and heard many very inspiring things about him. Being a client (on line and in person in Ottawa), I can only say that his values transpired through the great service and products offered at Lee Valley. A true leader he was.

We are so sorry for your loss. Leonard was a great friend to Art and helped him very much to decide to take a job with the IMF in Washington, D.C. in 1998. Upon our return, when he learned we were both doing wood turning he brought two special pieces of wood with the instructions that they were for 'the little one' (Janet). He was a wonderful man and a great inspiration to all who knew him.

I am very sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine how my woodworking life could have existed without Leonard. I have been leaning on Lee Valley tools and in the early days, Leonard himself, all my woodworking life. And Leonard taught me much of my philosophy of working. His presence was part of the fabric of my woodworking life. There were many conversations on the telephone. I almost felt him with me in my shop. We met often at events and the stores. He was a lovely man and I will miss him, but I will never forget him.

Leonard was one of my brightest guiding lights while leading the Collegium of Work and Learning, with Leonard as Chair of the board - in fact, he came up with the word 'Collegium' when a suitable name was being sought for the organization. Only Leonard! Please accept my deep condolences, and wishing you many warm memories through this difficult time.

Dear Lorraine: My very deepest sympathy at the passing of your husband. Hopefully you will remember me. We met so very many years ago when we were both about 17. I met a friend of both Dick and Fred Cole today and was told of Fred's passing. I decided to look up his obituary and discovered the notice of your husband's passing. I know how difficult a time this is and I will keep you and your family in my prayers. God bless all of you.

The world is a better place because Len lived. He was a classmate of mine after they moved from the Algrove farm to Archerwill and was a groomsman at our wedding. Len was a very special friend to both of us. We have many memories of the occasions we were able to be together. In the early years of course we spent a lot of time with the Lee family. Our thoughts are with you Lorraine, Robin, Jamie and families; Bob, Joyce and family; Faye, John and family. Sisters Adell, Jeanne and Joey also send their condolences.

Condolences to the family of Leonard Lee. I knew Leonard very well, in fact I knew the whole Lee family. I went to school in Archerwill with Charlie Lee, and spent a lot of time at the Lee home. Mrs. Lee was a great cook, and an all-round great person. They always fed me and made me feel very welcome. We probably won't see their likes again, as the world has changed so much since those days in Archerwill.
