Age 81 of Scott Twp., on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Jane (Suscovich) Persinski; son of the late John Joseph and Jane (Koproski) Persinski; loving father of Lenora (David) Kushnar, Donald (Susan) Persinski, and Michael (Sharon) Persinski; brother of Raymond (Carol) Persinski; dear grandfather of Sarah (fiancé Alex Powell) Kushnar, Brandon Kushnar, Brian (Maria) Persinski, Anthony Persinski, Laura and Tommy Persinski; great-grandfather of Evelyn Rose Persinski. Mr. Persinski was a member of St. Bernard Church, Mt. Lebanon, a graduate of Allegheny College where he lettered in track and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was the retired Director of Research and Development for Calgon Corp. with 32 years of service where he held 12 different patents in fracking, desalination and polymer combinations. He was an avid sports fan, golfer, boater and was an enthusiastic volunteer baseball coach for various township leagues. He loved music and was leader and accordion player for Lenny and the Polka Lads. He especially enjoyed spending times with his family, grandchildren and friends at the family cottage at Atwood Lake. Friends welcome Monday 2-5, 6-8 p.m., WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., 15220. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Tuesday in St. Bernard Church, Mt. Dear Betty
I am so sorry that I missed Len's passing. I owe much to him as he helped me believe in me. I will never forget his friendship and mentoring. In addition, he taught me to drink wine.
