My wife and I were fortunate to live next door to Leo and his family in Angleton during the early 1980s. Even though we were Yankees, the entire family made us feel welcome.
Leo was a good man, and I am sure he is missed by family and friends.

The world has lost such a great man. I am deeply saddened to hear this news. I have many memories spent alongside Mr Carrales and his son Leo during our hunting trips to Premote. I´ll never forget this one time while out at the ranch, he was in his deer stand and spotted a great size deer. So he called down to me and Leo, and told us the deer was headed our way, and let me shoot him. I didn´t know at the time I would be getting out the deer stand and laying in the middle of the clearing to wait for that deer. But sure enough, that deer did what he said he was going to do. While looking in my scope this deer popped out an started running with his head down to the ground straight for me and Leo. One shot and I had my first trophy that I was proud of. Thank you so much Carrales family for all those wonderful memories. My deepest condolences.

My husband and I admired Leo so much, the love he gave my mother in law was indescribable. The laughs we all shared and the beautiful memories he left us we will hold them dearly to our hearts. Franky and Leo shared a great love for hunting and never failed to make us feel right at home when we went over for a weekend. We will miss you dearly Leo, may you rest in eternal peace. - Franky & Abby Gonzalez

When Leo would come to Virginia to visit Lyzette these last couple of years Tony and I would ride the farm with him looking at deer and talking hunting. Always enjoyed that.
