Leota M. Clifford, 92, of Dennis Port formerly of Quincy died Saturday, August 9 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Portland, Maine on January 6, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Leota (O'Hanlon) O'Connell.

Mrs. Clifford was a graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls. She had been a resident of Dennis Port for the past 35 years and had lived in Quincy for 30 years prior. Mrs. Clifford was a member of the Holy Trinity Parish in Harwich and was a former member of St. Ann's Parish in Quincy. She had worked for Textron in Quincy and had retired from the Colonial Candle Company in Hyannis.

Mrs. Clifford was the wife of the late Timothy Clifford. Loving mother of Leota Gallivan of Wakefield & her late husband John F. Devoted sister of Richard O'Connell of Bellingham and William O'Connell of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Proud Grandmother of Timothy Gallivan & Brian Gallivan & his wife AnnMarie. Adoring Great Nana of Sydney Gallivan. She was predeceased by her two sisters; Caroline Kelley and Margaret Walsh.

Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, Monday 4-8 PM. Funeral will be held from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St, Quincy, Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Ann's Church 757 Hancock St, Quincy at 10 AM. Interment will be at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
