Condolences to www.jcbattleandsons.com Life's Reflection Leroy was born to Eva May & Commadore Bonner in Hamilton, Ohio. Leroy had two sisters, Carolyn and Linda Bonner; nine brothers, Carl, Harry, Ronald, Eddie, Rome, Victory, Darrell, and Jerry. Leroy started playing a guitar at the age of 12. He joined his first band at the age of 14. At the age of 16, he joined a band called The Ohio Untouchables and later they formed THE OHIO PLAYERS. "Sugarfoot" enjoyed a stellar career as a musician, writer, producer, and performer. From the 1970's, 80's, 90's into the 21st century, his music touched and inspired tens of thousands, worldwide. "Sugarfoot" loved the world and his family. We love you Dad and miss you. His wife, Frances Bonner; daughter, Royella McGinnis and grandson, Terry McGinnis preceded him in death. Leroy leaves nine daughters, Trellis, Phabreanne, Royella, Vonzella, Shadera, Lola, Sherry, Kiera, Carmen; three sons, Mayan, Shasta and Prince; 22 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
