Rev. Leroy William Davis, 86, of Kingsport, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2023.
Born on July 28, 1937, a son of the late Grant William and Lucille Ella Eaks Davis, Leroy graduated from Trevecca College in 1961 with a Master of Science degree in teaching. Leroy was a beloved pastor, evangelist and teacher.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Lucille Davis; brother Larry Davis; and granddaughter, Madison Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Davis; daughter, Melinda Hite (Tom); son, Mark Davis (Michelle); grandchildren, Jordan Hite, Allie Hite and Annah Medley; great-grandchildren, Sara Lau, Denver Hite and Lilah Medley; sister, Shirley Pellerin.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2pm on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Southview Community Church. A service will follow with Rev. Ron DeWitt, Superintendent of the East Tennessee Nazarene District and Pastor Billy Willis officiating. Graveside services will follow at Holston View Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
