DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Leroy LaSalle, Sr., age 58, at 10:30 am Friday, October 8, 2010 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Inurnment will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Migues Cemetery. Inurnment services will be conducted by Fr. Herb Bennerfeild.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.
A native of Kaplan and resident of Delcambre, Mr. LaSalle passed away at 4:14 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of37 years, Linda Bourque LaSalle of Delcambre; his children, Stephanie L. Mergist and husband Toby of Erath; Samantha LaSalle of Erath; Leroy LaSalle, Jr. and wife Kelly of Erath; Chad LaSalle and Kimberly LaSalle both of Delcambre and six grandchildren, Shelby Romero; Braie LaSalle; William LaSalle; Gavin Arabie and Kadence and Addison Mergist. Mr. LaSalle is also survived by two brothers, Allen LaSalle and his wife Belinda of New Iberia and Billy LaSalle and his wife Brenda of Berwick and two sisters, Gloria York and Janelle Vincent and her husband Robert all of Kaplan.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dusty LaSalle; parents, Melvin Adam and Maudrey Richard LaSalle; two brothers, Calvin and Lennis LaSalle and one sister, Jeanette Maturin. Mr. LaSalle is also preceded in death by his in laws, Cloday and Elda Touchet Bourque.

well daddy i dont know how to start this but its almost easter and u are not here with us it will not be the same.. gavin is starting to be a big boy now its been a few days since he has been on the potty doing a good job and i knoe u would be so proud of him he still asking about you and he keeps sayin i miss my paw paw :((( i love u daddy and i miss you so much i would of never thought you would leave us this soon i wish u was still here with me im only 21 and i still need you for alot of things and still need you in my life i know u are now my angel and watching over me but its still not the same i rather u be here in real life and one day i will get to see u again and be with you again you will always be in my heart and im always thinking about you each and everyday and mind of the day u stay on my mind and my heart is still hurting cause u are not here well daddy i love you alot

daddy u was always there for me when i needed someone to talk to we had our ups and down u know its killing me not to see u are hear u everytime i walk in the house u not here we had our times and there was all good i promise that i never regreat nothing about you u always had a smile on your face and i just wish u was still here to watch the grandkids grow up and ur kids but i promise all your kids will help mama we will be here for her and i know you are with us right now and watching over us but its not the same people telling me it will be ok but they just dont know its not gunna be ok cause u are not here with us....
