Oh, Lesley - you were/are AMAZING! You must know by now, how many people LOVE you and recognize all your body of work!
I have been watching, over and over 'LEMORA...', and am always struck as to what an incredible impression you made in that film. I just absolutely LOVE it!
Wish you were here, I would have loved to have met you.
Love to you in Heaven, Lesley!

I knew and loved Leslie through many incarnations over the last forty years. She was a gem with that height, that voice, that calm. She was a good mother and a good friend and in no way can death dim the bright memories we all have of her. She had great value to many.

Didn't know Lesley Gilb Tapin, personally, but I LOVED her as the Dark, mysterious Lemora. She was able to pull off one of the sexiest (and most menacing) female vampires, in a low-budget film. Amazing. Too bad, I didn't get to know more about her. Rest in Peace, Lesley --- you are missed.

I was just thinking of her yesterday -- and missing her. What a loss.

I just saw her in the film Lemora and what a great actress she was. She had great facial expressions and some of her spooky looks where impressive. I'm sorry to hear that she passed so young and wish the family much peace.

I first saw Lesley on television in the Lemora film. Back in 2006 she was very kind to send me a few signed photos of her as the character, Lemora and a very nice letter enclosed. I recently found out this news and I am in shock. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time. Rest in Peace.

It's been a year & I had a hard time saying goodbye and so I didn't. That was pretty weak of me and I'm sorry. I miss you and so does Bully. Since time doesn't work the same for us, I'll just say that we'll see you soon.

I didn't know much of Lesley Gilb Taplin - but that she played "LEMORA" and Boy did she impress me with her campy yet eerie portrayal of a Bisexual Vampire. That low budget Film was one of the most memorable Horror Films ever!
You're in God's Heaven, now Lesley - Rest In Peace and Love...
Amen

I met Lesley this past year but in a remarkable experience for both of us, we recognized and expressed to one another that we would become serious friends -- and that we were 'destined' to do something together because of all the intellectual interests and emotional life that we share. I can't tell you how sad I am that all of this will not continue for the two of us together -- I'm surprised at how deeply I feel about this so obviously special person I had met so recently. Something will continue, something of value -- I know that, from our profound encounter.

I just now learned of Leslie's death from a posting on classmates. I knew Leslie at Willard Jr. High School from 58-61. I remember her after all these years as a kind and gentle soul. I wish I had had the opportunity to see her again over the years, but I was glad to hear she had such a wonderful and full life. A life that ended much too soon. My condolences to her family.
Me, in November, I live in El Salvador now.

I just learned of Leslie's death yesterday and I am still in shock...I can't believe that intensely alive person who was so brilliant, fun, beautiful in every way, won't be there the next time I go looking for her smile, her laugh, her furrowed brow, her new thoughts, a new discovery, her flights of imagination and theatre... dear, dear Leslie no matter how much time went by between our visits, I always loved being with her just as much, and to Nick and Blythe, my tears, my love for Leslie, my hope for strength to you both, Leslie was also very strong and very much on this Earth. I know it's been a long time, you are adults now, but I do remember you both...even as babies. My condolences and love to you.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Lesley's passing. What a beautiful, luminous spirit. I feel lucky to have gotten to know her through her visits to my gallery over the last 10 years. I will remember her innate enthusiasm, inquisitive intellect and wonderful sense of humor. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

When Michael Smith called me about Lesley's death, I was shocked that such a vibrant and beautiful person should leave us so soon. Since then I've had a chance to think that Lesley, indeed, was one of those rare individuals blessed with eternal youth and innocence. We met at UC Berkeley in 1967 and grew very close, and stayed close friends as she moved from Berkeley to Palo Alto, and Los Angeles. I'd like to send my condolences to all who loved and valued her.

I was devastated to read today in the SF Chronicle of Lesley's untimely death. We were friends and housemates while students at Berkeley in 1964-66, but lost track of one another after that. I'm pleased, and not surprised, to read of Lesley's subsequent rich, varied, and creative life. She made an indelible impression on me even in college. Heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
