The memory of this very talented former student, who produced (and mostly exceeded) all that I probably ever assigned to or expected of her will continually regale a feeling for my small part in her achievements. Her horrific and unexpected death will demand more time for the cessation of my presently deep 'denial' of this tragic happening. Lesli Wood [Wilson] was an exceptional piano student/pianist who -along with many others - left a big imprint on whatever enjoyment and small success of my career as a piano professor has been.
I shall always remember her big talent(s) and the boundless exuberance and joie de vivre that marked her delightful personality.

The news of Lesli's untimely and tragic death gripped my soul like the news of another beloved's recent passing: my 28-year-old nephew's death in 2017. Lesli was one of (3 or 4) my most talented piano students at MS. State University. It is so difficult to say she was.
Her sad death will live in my memory for a long time.
