Doug and Shannon, am so very sorry to hear about Leslies passing. She was a great friend and advisor to me over decades and I enjoyed working closely with her toward the end of her time at Genentech. She knew well how to enjoy each day, to be serious and reach for great things, but always able to laugh and enjoy people and our work together. We spoke of things that mattered on many occasions, and I know that her passion for God and for her work at the church filled her with purpose and joy. I wish for you both strength, peace, and encouragement. Our best, Bill and Gail

I was devastated when I heard about Lesllie passing. I cherish every moment I spent with her as her friend and colleague. Her ability to handle the most difficult situations with such class and grace was so impressive! I learned so much from Lesllie about what it takes to be a great visionary and inspirational leader! All of us that had the pleasure of working with her were so blessed to have her as a friend!!!!
I miss her and I will always be thinking of her!!

Doug and Shannon. I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss; and our loss as friends and colleagues. Leslie and I and so many others at Genentech spent countless hours working together. Leslie's passion and energy for helping others was boundless and inspirational. I will miss her, but think of her often.

Doug and Shannon. I was shocked to hear about Leslie. Shelly and I send out deepest sympathies for your loss and everyones loss. Leslie was a great person who was admired by many and rivaled by few. Her integrity and love for people and God was evident in all she did. Leslie gave me my first chance to lead and I never looked back. She Gave me a chance but more than anything she gave me a foundation for what it meant to see the best in others and give them the space to thrive. It was a wonderful experience because of Leslie. I also followed in her footsteps most literally which would. It have been easy save for the foundation she of integrity and servant leadership she instilled. It was so ingrained that when tough times hit as they always do in business I doubled down on those principles and went back to get my MBA in executive Leadership. None of that would have happened were it not for Leslie. I now own a consulting firm where I spend most of my time with others helping them see the best in people and build great teams through leadership and strengths. While the busyness of business and life changed my regular connections with Leslie to occasional chats I will never forget how her impact on my life and career. I am comforted only by knowing what a woman of faith she was and know that she is now in a place of no more sorrow or pain. No more pain or grief. But a place of peace and love and joy forever. Leslie will be missed but her legacy lives on I am sure in every life she touched including mine. Shelly and I send our prayers to you in this time of loss. May the peace of God be with you.

Dear Doug, Where to begin...Leslie was the MOST positive and faith driven person I've ever known, but this you, Shannon and all that knew her know. Her love of her family her friends, she made all of us feel like her "best" friend...what a special lady and loving soul. Leslie's leadership, her undying thirst for knowledge and joy of leading a health-filled spiritual and wellness lifestyle; I remain in awe of... Words cannot express the joy and the inspiration gained just from having known Leslie. She has touched so many lives in profound ways. Leslie led by example and I hold dearly the lessons she has taught me over the past couple of years...most of which came from her just being her. I'm forever grateful and will cherish her thoughtful and loving ways. Having shared the last several weeks in March with you, Molly and Leslie was such a gift to me and I thank you! I'm forever grateful and honored to call you and her my friend. With love and deepest sympathy, Catherine & Richard
