Leslie K. Lund Jr.

Leslie K. Lund, Jr. of the Town of Fishkill entered into rest Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at home. He was 86. Son of the late Leslie K. Lund, Sr. and Helen Miller Lund, he was born on July 1, 1931 in New Rochelle. He married the former Barbara Lupparelli; Mrs. Lund survives at home. Leslie worked as a lineman for Central Hudson in Fishkill until his retirement. He was also a longtime member of East Hook Rod and Gun Club, a past member of the New Hamburg Yacht Club and volunteered for Town of Fishkill Little League Association. In his spare time, Leslie enjoyed fishing, boating and was an avid reader. He truly enjoyed quiet time spent at home. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his children, Kevin Lund and his wife, Debbie of Poughkeepsie, and René Lund and her boyfriend, Robert Miani of Connecticut; grandchildren, Justin Lund and his wife, Stephanie of Milford, CT, Michael Lund and his wife, Kristin of Poughkeepsie, and Matthew Lund and his girlfriend, Andrea Stubbs of Poughkeepsie; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Pritchard, Sophia Lund and Lily Lund. Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery; funeral services and entombment will follow.
