LESLIE WARREN PAYNE LANSING – Leslie Warren Payne, 48, of Lansing, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at home. He was born on March 18, 1965 at Charleston, WV, he was the son of Dale and Marilyn Fields Payne of Fayetteville. Leslie graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran, retired from the WV State Police, and a member of the Masonic Lodge at Ansted. Left to cherish many wonderful memories included his parents, Dale and Marilyn Payne; his best friend and son, Joshua Warren Payne; daughters, Samantha Payne, Cassie Jennings, and Kristen Jennings; brother, Christopher (Kathy) Payne; three grandchildren, Jacob, David, and Ciara; and companion/wife for 21 years, Tina Payne. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with Chaplain Jim Mitchell and Pastor Harry Fuller officiating. Entombment will follow at Huse Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the funeral home.
