Condolences to Donna and the entire family. It's sad to lose someone too soon. I remember Mr. Simon was upbeat, caring, and didn't take our craziness too serious. And the class of 70 had a lot of crazy antics going on. Cherish all your good memories...

I met Les back in the 70's at the Dudley Grange Tennis Courts. We taught tennis to the kids in the neighborhood. He was definitely a charmer and always had a smile for you. Easy going and upbeat and could always put you in a good mood. He will be hard to forget by anyone who had the opportunity to know him. May his family and friends find comfort in the great memories and good times he shared.

Les was a person to be emulated but of course he could never be duplicated. He was an inspirational teacher, thought provoking and highly instrumental in the welfare of many others. I will remember him most for the life lessons that he imparted upon me growing up under his tutelage. He was prone to give and never to take demonstrating a rare gift that so few offer. Many have been moniker as Mensch however Les truly was in every sense the utmost respected of men. From his meshpoka of Camdenites, from Pyne Poynt to Woodrow Wilson and beyond we have lost a truly wonderful man, teacher and administrator. Blessings to the entire Simon family.

Les added comic relief to our days at Davis. He never failed to say thank you to a compliment. Even when the compliment was meant for someone else. He had a contagious mischievous spirit that I cherish. God bless, Les.

Les was the best vice principal and friend. He was a great leader and role model. He was a big part of or Davis Family. I was so happy when he and Donna adopted my Foster baby Max. They gave him a very spoiled happy life. I have many treasured memories. ♡♡♡♡♡
